Here’s an awesome concert review from Telegram.com. Check it out!
WORCESTER — If Taylor Swift is like a little kitty cat, then Miranda Lambert is like a tiger — a ferocious, gun-toting, straight-shooting, hell-raising, beer-guzzling tiger.
And she wouldn’t act like a doe caught in the headlights if Kanye West tried to take away her thunder and give it to Beyonce, Lambert is the closest thing today’s mainstream country has to a bonafide “rock chick.”
With a blistering, one-hour-and-35-minute, 24-song set (which included a two-song encore), Lambert torched the place and blew the audience away last night at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Dressed in a silver and black blouse, black T-shirt, ratted dungarees, knee-high cowboy boots and clunky junk jewelry, the combustible country bumpkin and closet rock ‘n’ roller immediately kicked the show in high gear with “Kerosene” (the title track from her 2005 debut) and ended the main set with “Gunpowder & Lead” (her first Top 10 country hit). In between all the tales about alcohol, accelerants and ammunition, this 26-year-old country vixen and consummate “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” who would rather be packing a Smith and Wesson than carrying a Prada handbag, proved she was packing plenty of heat and showed that she knows how to give one heck of a show.
Miranda made Maxim’s list as one of the hottest women in country music. Here’s what Maxim had to say about her:
This fiery Texas singer, who first came to fame on the show Nashville Star, has made a career with her pissed-off girlfriend songs like “Gunpowder & Lead.” Consider yourself warned.
Kellie Pickler’s new ‘do was the topic of red-hot conversation at last week’s CMA Awards, but what fans might not realize is that Miranda Lambert was supposed to be a redhead herself by the time the show aired!
The two blondes made a pact earlier this year that they would both go red, but apparently Miranda decided against the change at the last minute, stopping at just a few streaks. “Kellie and I talked about a couple of months ago at the ACM Honors event that we both wanted to go redhead,” Miranda tells Dial-Global, “and I was gonna go all the way. I just chickened out at the last minute. Kellie is now a redhead … I’m a poser, I guess. She looks amazing. I’ve gotten red before but inside I feel like I’m a redhead, I feel like I have a redhead personality. I’m going … slowly but surely, piece by piece, going red. So we’ll see if I ever go all the way.”
It’s perhaps appropriate that the song Miranda performed on the CMA Awards was the single, ‘White Liar.’
Well, last night wasn’t Miranda’s night, but all wasn’t lost. She looked amazing, she sounded amazing, and she’s still getting great reviews on her album! I want to issue out a fair congrats to Taylor Swift, she had an awesome night and I know her fans are proud of her. Some other fans who I won’t name are still having a fit this morning, and it’s actually kind of funny how they always want you to respect their artist, but bash another artist the moment their person doesn’t win the award. Respect goes both ways people! Until then enjoy the Ran pics, and let’s keep our fingers crossed that next year will be Ran’s year! I feel a Revolution comin’ on!
I added photos of Miranda arriving at the The 43rd Annual CMA Awards. She looks great as always! Hopefully we’ll get some more from her arrivals and from the show. Sadly, I didn’t get to see her perform, but hopefully I’ll be able to catch it later on. Sadly Miranda did not take home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year, she lost out to Taylor Swift. Maybe next year!
Miranda attended the 57th Annual BMI Country Awards last night. She looked amazing! Be sure to check out the photos! Please don’t forget to check out the CMA Awards tonight (8 P.M. ET)! Miranda is up for Female Vocalist of the Year! Also you can check out a video of Miranda getting ready for the BMI Awards here.
