Miranda Lambert has scored a personal best, debuting at No. 33 with ‘Baggage Claim,’ the first single from her upcoming album, ‘Four the Record.’ The new tune is the Texas native’s first to debut within the Top 40 on the Billboard and Mediabase charts.
When speaking about her new single, the feisty singer admits, “[‘Baggage Claim’] is the grooviest song I’ve ever recorded. It makes you want revenge and want to dance all at the same time.”
Co-written by Miranda, Luke Laird and Natalie Hemby (‘White Liar,’ ‘Only Prettier’), ‘Baggage Claim’ marks the first time the country superstar has released two versions of a song, one “clean” and one “explicit.” The explicit version, available now on iTunes, includes the closing line, “Come and get your sh–!”
‘Four the Record,’ Miranda’s follow up to the Grammy award-winning ‘Revolution,’ is set for a November 1 release. Fans craving a live performance of ‘Baggage Claim’ can catch the singer on the final leg of her headlining Revolution Continues tour beginning in September.
Miranda Lambert will wrap up the summer leg of her Revolution tour later this month, but the new bride of Blake Shelton isn’t ready to take much time off the road yet. She recently announced dates for the fall — and final — leg of the tour, which kicks off September 8 in Indiana.
“The revolution continues but not for too much longer, this is the last leg of the tour,” Miranda notes. “We have had so much fun and have had so many great bands come out to join us and some great artists as well. Don’t miss your last chance to see us on the road this year.”
The ‘Heart Like Mine’ singer has made several alterations to her show since the tour kicked off last year. “I don’t want people who came to the show in the fall to have to see the same show,” she told The Boot before the summer leg of the trek. “If they buy a ticket, I want to give them something different. So, [I want to] find some new covers and change the set up a little bit and try to make it better than the last time, just keep doing that the rest of my career is what I hope to do.”
Miranda’s next project will be the self-titled debut album of her all-girl group, Pistol Annies, which hits shelves on August 23. Her fourth solo album, ‘Four the Record,’ will be released on November 1.

Miranda Lambert has always been a responsible gun owner and hunter. Yet, there is a time and place to talk about political issues. A reporter for the Ottawa Citizen newspaper clearly picked the wrong time and place when he brought up guns during an interview with Miranda.
She has an upcoming performance near the Canadian capital and is getting ready to release an album with the Pistol Annies, not to mention preparing to release her own album later this fall. However, despite all of this, the reporter chose to use his interview to talk about guns over her new music, which did not set well with Miranda. She took to Twitter to let this reporter know exactly how she felt.
“Dear Mr writer at Ottawa Citizen: next time u interview me, let’s keep it about the music and not about your view on my stance on guns,” she wrote. “I don’t talk politics period. I’m Not sure all Canadians would like to Be put in your category. Speak for yourself not your country. Thx!”
Miranda fans know exactly where she stands on guns. Her first Top 10 single was “Gunpowder and Lead,” which she wrote. She has also mentioned more than once that her mic stand doubles as a working shotgun. After addressing the Ottawa reporter, she again used Twitter to reassure her Canadian fans that there was only one Canadian she was unhappy with. “PS I can’t wait to see my faithful Ottawa fans!:) 2 weeks,” she wrote.
Here is the cover Miranda’s what’s rumored to be the new single (or just a buzz single), Baggage Claim! She looks amazing!!! I’m not complaining!!! Miranda looks amazing on the cover!
